PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Design surgical mask substitutes that can be readily mass produced.
Provide open source designs, publicly available free-of-charge, licensed under Creative Commons (4.0 International License) Attribution-NonCommercial.
Allow commercial exploitation by manufacturers, on condition that pricing is fair.
Provide technical support to potential manufacturers to assist in launching concurrent production in multiple regions in Greece.
Collaborate with medical associations and hospitals to meet the pressing needs of front-line health professionals.

CURRENT NEEDS

Please, contact us if you have (a) any knowledge of filtration performance testing for mask materials, (b) relevant academic background to evaluate research on the use of alternative materials for filters, such as zeolite, (c) access to materials, so that we can test the filters’ performance (c) direct or indirect contacts with industries producing antibacterial filters or with their suppliers.

Designs created by volunteers at COVID-19 Response Greece for this project are made available free of charge, under the terms of Creative Commons (4.0 International License) Attribution-NonCommercial, as is the case with other such voluntary actions worldwide.
We invite companies that can manufacture devices or individual components based on our designs to reach out to us, so that we can coordinate their distribution to organizations that need them. The products may be made available for free or at a reasonable price to cover the cost of manufacturing. In the latter case, the manufacturer must first acquire a license, in order to prevent profiteering. Feel free to contact us at contact@covid19response.gr
